Yarra Valley Flight Training held the competition, Columnless Flying, on 19th May, 2013. The next competition is Instrumentless Flying, on 23rd June, 2013. All are welcome, especially partners and families.
The winner was Paul Tripovich, with 108 points.
Sunday the 19th of May did not initially look good for a flying competition. Grey clouds made the sky overcast, dampness was in the air: this was the sight which greeted the competitors on the day of the comp at about 10 o'clock Sunday morning. But as the hours passed on, things got better and better and in the end a beautiful Winter's day was apparent to all, but the low cloud base would not permit action above 1800' AGL over the verdant Yarra Valley.

Competition Results April 2013 — Balloon Bursting

Yarra Valley Flight Training held the competition, Balloon Bursting, on 21st April, 2013. The next competition is Columnless Flying, on 19th May, 2013. All are welcome, especially partners and families.
The winner was Dave Porter, President of the Coldstream Flyers Club, with 185 out of 185 points. While we are assured no money changed hands, Dave's score in the next few competitions will be closely observed.
Competition Results Feb 2013 — Flour Bombing

The first competition at Coldstream Airport for 2013, Flour Bombing, was held on 24th February, 2013. The winner was Ric Wallis, with a bomb distance of 9 metres. The next competition will be on 24th March, 2013. A free barbecue lunch will be held on the day. $5 entry fee for non-members for the competition. All are welcome to attend.

Yarra Valley Flight Training held the competition, Accurate Flying (Right-Hand Seat) on 24th March, 2013. The next competition is Balloon Bursting, on 21st April, 2013. All are welcome, especially partners and families.
Coldstream Airfield's competition season is now well under way in 2013 and there were some excellent results achieved again on Sunday, 24th of March. The first competitor's plane rose into the skies over the green fields of Gruyere Toorak of the Yarra Valley
at 7 minutes past 11.
